Compensation Justice Page
Mapping the real cost of Montessori labor.
Why Compensation Data Matters
Montessori asks adults to prepare environments of peace, dignity, and possibility.
But too many guides and school staff are doing that work while navigating low pay, inconsistent benefits, or unclear expectations — all of which hit hardest for Black, Brown, immigrant, and working-class educators.
Compensation isn’t just a number on a contract.
It’s a justice issue.
It shapes who can stay in the field, who gets pushed out, and whose voices we lose along the way.
The Peace Rebellion is building the first open, community-sourced map of Montessori compensation across roles, regions, and school types. Your contribution helps us illuminate the truth — so we can organize, advocate, and build better systems.
Your Privacy & Anonymity
The survey does not collect names, emails, IP addresses, or any personally identifying information.
Responses are aggregated and reported only in groups large enough to protect individual contributors.
You can share candidly and safely.
We take that responsibility seriously.
How Your Data Will Be Used
Your responses will help us:
-
Identify patterns in pay, benefits, and working conditions
-
Highlight inequities across regions, roles, and school types
-
Advocate for better compensation structures across Montessori communities
-
Support leaders and boards in making values-aligned decisions
-
Amplify the lived realities of educators whose experiences often go unseen
This project isn’t about shaming schools — it’s about shifting systems toward justice, sustainability, and dignity.
